Duties

The Educational Opportunity Program at SUNY New Paltz seeks several part time English and Math tutors. Salary for this position is $27.50/hr. Duties include:
~ Provide students with academic support during assigned hours
~ Develop academic materials and lessons relevant to course work
~ Collaborate with instructors to ensure the lesson materials are appropriate for the grade level or student’s skill set
~ Provide ongoing feedback on the student’s performance with coordinator and/or student advisor
~ End of semester evaluation of student’s overall performance in study group

Qualifications

~ Bachelor Degree required; Master Degree preferred
~ At least two years of experience working with students in an instructional capacity
~ Proven ability to communicate and work successfully with a diverse group of students
~ Experience working one on one or in groups
